5 Amazing Steps To Your Night Skincare Routine

Night skincare routine is very important for your skin health and appearance, so make sure you follow these steps consistently. Let’s get started!

You must be enthusiastic about looking good before stepping out of the house. But, don’t ever forget that your skin regenerates during the dark hours.

To look amazing during the daytime, it’s highly essential to pamper your skin at night.

Today, I’m gonna share my night skincare routine with you guys. If you have acne-prone skin, these steps would be miraculously helpful to you.

Before we move ahead, you must understand that the sequence and the consistency of the routine are important.

Scientifically speaking, the products that you apply, need to penetrate deep into the skin to give the best results. Hence, the sequence matters!

So here we go!

Step 1: CLEANSING

On days when I have make-up applied on my face, I prefer a double cleansing night regime.

First, I remove my make-up using a few drops of coconut oil or almond oil (depending highly on what I want to smell like that night). Second, I wash my face using my regular cleanser.

Use the cleanser that suits your skin type.

  • Gently tap the excess water from your face using a clean towel.
  • Ensure no residues remain on your face.
  • Don’t forget to hang it out to dry in a properly ventilated place. Never hang the wet towel inside your closet or bathroom.
  • Regular washing and sun exposure is a must to keep away the bacteria.

Step 2: TONER

Toners are water-based skin boosters. They cool down the irritated skin with gentle care. Toners are also famous for keeping the skin hydrated.

Take a generous amount of the liquid on your palms or a cotton pad and dab it all over your face and neck.

Personally, I prefer Rosewater as a toner.

  • Give a light finger massage to your face and neck and let your skin absorb the liquid.

Step 3: EYE CREAM

This is the most ignored step by many girls and women out there.

Applying eye cream not only keeps away signs of ageing but also protects the delicate area of your face.

Include this step in your night regime and keep crow’s feet, fine lines, and other signs of aging at bay.

Dermatologists suggest that eye creams should be applied before other products to protect the eyes from any irritation caused by potent ingredients.

  • Massage the area around the eyes in light circular motions. This will reduce the puffiness around the eyes and also prevent fine lines and wrinkles.

Step 4: SERUM

This is the unskippable skin regeneration step.

Applying eye cream not only keeps away signs of ageing but also protects the delicate area of your face.

Step 5: NIGHT CREAM

This is my final step before heading to bed. Moisturizer or night cream acts as a lock for the former steps.

Moisturizer or night cream keeps your skin hydrated throughout the night by preventing water evaporation. Hence, boosting the healing and maintenance of your skin.

  • Massage the cream on your face in light circular motions to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

The Takeaway

Hey beautiful! Always remember your skin is unique and no other person has the same skin as you do. Literally!

So, don’t go with the flow just try out for yourself what sequence or ingredients your skin requires.

Don’t forget your neck! Everything that goes on your face should also go on your neck. Remember.

Also, not all days are the same. Some days it’s Ok to skip a few steps. You can apply a facemask once or twice a week after the first step.

Listen to your skin. Nourish and nurture it according to its needs.

Hope I helped! Have a beautiful day (or shall I say night) ahead!
